Sunrise— fl-Ellen-moltz-0109a–Here is Ellen Moltz with her cat, Moxie. Robert Duyos Sun-Sentinel

I lost my beloved cat Moxie a month ago and will miss her dearly. She came into my life after I lost my beloved husband ten years ago and brought me back to life.

She was my heart and soul and companion and  my life will never be the same.

Animals are a blessing from God and I know she is with me in spirit.

Because of her I became involved with  Pets in Condos as most places do not allow pets.

God bless you Moxie, my dear friend and family.

Of all the thorns I received from life
You only provided blooming petals.
Never have you been a challenge,
never have you been an ostacle,
never have you caused distress
or anguish or lack of love.
For you have always been love.
You have only shown love.
You have only lived love

And the monstrosities of life
only help me value the kindness in you.
and only helps me to appreciate the
kindness in me, and in all of us.

I am so in awe of your sweetness
and how you have been there for me
in such an unconditional way.

May I learn from your wisdom and
partake in the same path of Kindness also.

(after he passed on)

You are still warm as though you never departed
Your essence still shines for it lights my heart so.
I feel your peace.
Your vibration of freedom
sends endless peace in me.
Your death is just clothes coming off your back
It is just body it is not your essence
for I feel your essence as clear as day
I feel my heart warm, warmth from you.
You are generous.
Always while you were a doggie
you poured out love.
And now even after your passing,
you still pour out love and loving support
as you ease my sadness.

You are in me, I am in you, we are oneness, always.

Your last bath

Your last bath in this lifetime I gave you today.
I wetted your face and your tail started wagging.
You always liked water running on your face.
You’d drink the water as it hit your mouth
and I’d see a smile off your face
as the expressive angel doggie you’ve always been.

I used the soap you like with lavender,
as I now still smell it on your skin.
I still smell your scent although you really have,
you really have, really have left your body tonight.
And the sadness pours yet the peace is there also.

For now you are free,
free spirit, free flight.
You can now walk on the clouds.
Now your legs don’t matter.
You can now reach new heights.
Now you no longer pain.

You are free, free to shine,
yet you’ve always shined,
your eyes have always been bright,
they reflected your soul which is pure
pure love, pure light.

What a blessing to have crossed paths with you dear love.

Shiloh
Shiloh passed over the rainbow bridge March 2009

Anyone who has visited Tri County knows that we not only
have rambunctious puppies and big playful mix breeds, we
also have an “oldies” room where senior dogs peacefully
live and get spoiled by chicken dinners and volunteer
walks. But no matter how well these retired rovers are
treated here at the shelter, there is NOTHING like your
very own home and your very own person to love and cuddle
with. Melanie adopted Shiloh the Beagle from Tri
County about 4 years ago. Shiloh was already way up in
years back then and overweight—we expected her to live
with us forever. We loved her so much and were so happy
and filled with joy when Melanie decided to adopt her and
give her a wonderful last few years of life. Melanie just
wrote a few weeks ago and let us know that our sweet Shiloh
has peacefully passed on. Melanie, you are a very special
person and the four years you gave Shiloh mean almost
as much to us here at Tri County as she did to you.
